CakePHP Authentication versions before 2.11.2, from 3.0.0 through 3.3.6, and from 4.0.0 through 4.2.0 contain a vulnerability that allows authentication bypass and potential CPU or memory exhaustion when using the CookieAuthenticator with unencrypted, forgeable legacy tokens. This issue is resolved in versions 2.11.2, 3.3.7, and 4.2.1. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 08/24/2026, 21:30:06 UTC Added: 08/24/2026, 21:52:40 UTC |
0 CakePHP Authentication is an authentication plugin for CakePHP that can also be used in PSR-7 based applications. Prior to 2.11.1, 3.3.6, and 4.1.1, the getLoginRedirect() method contains a weakness to backslash bypasses that allows redirect targets with attacker-controlled hostnames through the redirect query string parameter. This issue is fixed in versions 2.11.1, 3.3.6, and 4.1.1. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 07/09/2026, 18:55:30 UTC Added: 07/09/2026, 19:18:15 UTC |
