CVE-2026-11527: CWE-78 Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') in SHLOMIF Config::IniFilesCVE-2026-11527 0 Config::IniFiles versions prior to 3.001000 for Perl contain an OS command injection vulnerability. This occurs because the _make_filehandle function uses Perl's 2-argument open() on the -file argument, allowing specially crafted filenames beginning or ending with pipe or redirect characters to execute arbitrary commands or overwrite files. The vulnerability affects callers that pass untrusted input to the -file argument. In-memory scalar references are not affected. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently provided.
