CVE-2026-47134: CWE-732: Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource in craigjbass clearancekitCVE-2026-47134
0

ClearanceKit on macOS versions prior to 5.0.10 improperly assigns permissions to the ECDSA private key used for signing its on-disk policy database. The key is stored in the System Keychain without the intended access control list (ACL) restrictions, allowing any root process to use the key to forge valid policy signatures. This vulnerability is fixed in version 5.0.10. No known workarounds exist except disabling the system extension and removing the key, which disables policy enforcement.

CVE-2026-47133: CWE-294: Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay in craigjbass clearancekitCVE-2026-47133
0

ClearanceKit versions prior to 5.0.10 on macOS use ECDSA signatures to verify policy data stored in an on-disk SQLite database. However, the signatures do not include freshness or version counters, allowing an attacker with write access to the database and signature rows to replay previously signed snapshots. This can occur during specific windows when the Endpoint Security filter is offline or via offline access methods. Version 5.0.10 addresses this issue.
