CVE-2026-18487: User Interface (UI) Misrepresentation of Critical Information in GNOME EpiphanyCVE-2026-18487
0

CVE-2026-18487 is a medium severity vulnerability in the GNOME Epiphany browser version 49.2. It involves a user interface misrepresentation where the browser's address bar can be manipulated to display a trusted domain name while actually loading a malicious site. This is achieved by crafting URLs with a colon in the userinfo section, causing the browser to show the safe domain but load the attacker-controlled site, enabling phishing attacks.
