0 CVE-2026-54239 is a vulnerability in the FaustWP WordPress plugin used by the Faust.js toolkit. Versions prior to 1.8.11 fail to include the initialization vector in the HMAC verification during token encryption and decryption. This allows a logged-in non-administrator user to manipulate the token's initialization vector, changing the token type and user identifier without invalidating the HMAC. Exploiting this flaw can grant administrator-level access, enabling full REST API control, administrator account creation, plugin installation, and arbitrary code execution. The issue is fixed in version 1.8.11. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 09/17/2026, 18:25:36 UTC Added: 09/17/2026, 18:47:19 UTC |
