Improper Control of Generation of Code in Kibana Leading to Privilege Escalation (CVE-2026-78593)CVE-2026-78593 0 CVE-2026-78593 is a medium severity vulnerability in Kibana's Cribl integration where an insufficiently validated configuration field allows an authenticated user with Fleet management privileges to inject expressions into a server-side script template. This injection can cause an Elasticsearch ingest pipeline to be written with permissions beyond the user's authorized scope, leading to privilege escalation. A patch is available to address this issue. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/09/2026, 08:48:23 UTC Added: 09/09/2026, 13:30:25 UTC |
