CWE-78: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') in MariaDB server (CVE-2026-49261)CVE-2026-49261 0 MariaDB server versions 10.6.1 through 10.6.26, 10.11.1 through 10.11.17, 11.4.1 through 11.4.11, 11.8.1 through 11.8.7, and 12.3.1 with the wsrep_notify_cmd feature enabled are vulnerable to an OS command injection vulnerability. This vulnerability allows execution of shell commands embedded in the name of the joiner node. The issue is fixed in versions 10.6.27, 10.11.18, 11.4.12, 11.8.8, and 12.3.2. As a workaround, disabling wsrep_notify_cmd mitigates the risk if upgrading is not immediately possible. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 10.0, indicating critical severity.
