This vulnerability allows an attacker with limited privileges to escalate their privileges by exploiting how symbolic links are handled. The issue affects version 1. 0. 0 of the Azure Monitor Agent. Microsoft has issued an official fix for this vulnerability. Since Azure Monitor is a cloud service, Microsoft manages the remediation server-side. There are no known exploits in the wild at this time.
