Red Hat Security Advisory: kernel security updateCVE-2024-42283 0 This advisory addresses multiple moderate-severity vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel packages used by Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. The issues include improper initialization of nexthop fields (CVE-2024-42283), a requirement for drivers to supply cache_invalidate_user operations (CVE-2024-46824), and a use-after-free vulnerability in the multipath TCP timer deletion function (CVE-2024-46858). Red Hat has released updated kernel packages to fix these vulnerabilities. A system reboot is required to apply the updates effectively.
