Red Hat OpenShift Dev Spaces provides a cloud developer workspace server and a browser-based IDE built for teams and organizations. Dev Spaces runs in OpenShift and is well-suited for container-based development. The 3.23 release is based on Eclipse Che 7.107 and uses the DevWorkspace engine to provide support for workspaces based on devfile v2.1 and v2.2. Users still using the v1 standard should migrate as soon as possible. https://devfile.io/docs/2.2.0/migrating-to-devfile-v2 Dev Spaces supports OpenShift EUS releases v4.14 and higher. Users are expected to update to supported OpenShift releases in order to continue to get Dev Spaces updates. https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/openshift#crw Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/15/2025, 16:27:40 UTC Added: 05/28/2026, 22:15:03 UTC |

0 setuptools is a package that allows users to download, build, install, upgrade, and uninstall Python packages. A path traversal vulnerability in `PackageIndex` is present in setuptools prior to version 78.1.1. An attacker would be allowed to write files to arbitrary locations on the filesystem with the permissions of the process running the Python code, which could escalate to remote code execution depending on the context. Version 78.1.1 fixes the issue. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/13/2025, 06:13:15 UTC Added: 06/02/2026, 21:43:36 UTC |
0 tar-fs provides filesystem bindings for tar-stream. Versions prior to 3.0.9, 2.1.3, and 1.16.5 have an issue where an extract can write outside the specified dir with a specific tarball. This has been patched in versions 3.0.9, 2.1.3, and 1.16.5. As a workaround, use the ignore option to ignore non files/directories.
