A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Optimod 5950 - Optimod 5950HD - Optimod 5750 - Optimod 5750HD - Optimod Trio - Optimod version 1.0.0.33 - System version 2.5.26, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the web browser of a user, by including a malicious payload into the logs which would be returned in logs rendered in the UI.

CVE-2025-61198 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability identified in multiple models of the Optimod product line, specifically versions 1.0.0.33 and system version 2.5.26. The vulnerability arises because the web-based management interface improperly sanitizes log data before rendering it in the user interface. An attacker can remotely inject malicious JavaScript code into log entries by submitting specially crafted input that gets recorded in logs. When a legitimate user or administrator accesses the logs via the web UI, the malicious script executes in their browser context. This can lead to a range of attacks including session hijacking, theft of authentication tokens, unauthorized actions on behalf of the user, or pivoting deeper into the network. The vulnerability does not require user interaction beyond viewing the logs, and no authentication is necessarily required to inject the payload if the logging mechanism is exposed.
