CVE-2025-9878: CWE-79 Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') in buildwps PPWP – Password Protect PagesCVE-2025-9878 0 CVE-2025-9878 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the WordPress plugin PPWP – Password Protect Pages by buildwps. The flaw exists in all versions up to and including 1.9.21 due to insufficient sanitization and escaping of user-supplied attributes in the 'ppwp' shortcode. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages.
