0 A vulnerability in 0xJacky's nginx-ui from versions 2.0.0 up to but not including 2.5.0 allows an attacker controlling the upgrade mirror or network to supply malicious executable code during a self-upgrade. The upgrade mechanism only validates the downloaded binary with a same-origin digest from the same mirror, which can be manipulated. An operator must trigger the upgrade, after which the malicious code runs in the nginx-ui process context. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.0.
