CVE-2026-12597: CWE-287 Improper Authentication in LoginPress LoginPress ProCVE-2026-12597
0

LoginPress Pro plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 6.2.3 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability via its GitHub OAuth callback. The plugin fails to verify that the email address returned by GitHub's /user/emails endpoint is verified before using it to authenticate users. This allows unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing WordPress user, including administrators, by adding an unverified email matching a local account to their GitHub profile and triggering the OAuth callback. Exploitation depends on GitHub returning the attacker-controlled unverified email as the first element in the email array.
