CVE-2026-12851: CWE-78 Improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command ('OS command injection') in GeoVision Inc. GV-I/O Box 4ECVE-2026-12851
0

CVE-2026-12851 is a critical OS command injection vulnerability in GeoVision Inc.'s GV-I/O Box 4E version 2.09. The vulnerability exists in the libNetSetObj.so library, specifically in the CNetSetObj::m_F_n_Set_DNS_Addr function, which improperly sanitizes user-supplied DNS address inputs before passing them to system calls. This flaw allows an attacker to execute arbitrary OS commands by sending specially crafted network packets to the device's network-exposed services.
