XML::Bare versions up to 0.53 for Perl contain a vulnerability that causes the parser to enter an infinite loop when processing certain malformed XML attributes. This occurs because the parser's attribute-parse state cursor does not advance on specific malformed inputs, such as nameless attributes or unbalanced quotes. The issue results in the application hanging and becoming unresponsive during parsing.

This security update for perl-XML-Bare addresses two vulnerabilities: CVE-2026-13401, where the parser would hang when processing malformed XML attributes, and CVE-2026-57074, which involves an unbounded character lookahead issue. Both issues could affect the stability and reliability of XML parsing in the perl-XML-Bare module.
