CVE-2026-17091 is an integer overflow or wraparound vulnerability in IBM PowerVM Hypervisor versions FW1120.00, FW1110.00 through FW1110.30, FW1060.00 through FW1060.80, and FW950.00 through FW950.H2. An attacker with root access to a guest partition can exploit this flaw by issuing a crafted hypervisor call that injects arbitrary data into hypervisor or partition memory. This can cause a crash leading to a full platform reboot and termination of all hosted partitions or memory corruption. The hypervisor restarts automatically, but repeated exploitation may cause sustained availability issues. The vulnerability impacts system integrity and availability.
