CVE-2026-18649: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in Red Hat Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10CVE-2026-18649 0 A vulnerability in the GStreamer gst-plugins-good package used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 allows remote unauthenticated attackers to cause a denial of service by exhausting process memory. The rtph264depay and rtph265depay RTP depayloader elements do not limit the size of their reassembly buffer when processing fragmented RTP packets, enabling unbounded memory growth if an attacker sends continuous RTP fragments without end markers. This flaw affects deployments that process unauthenticated RTP streams without authentication layers such as SRTP or DTLS-SRTP. Mitigations include using authenticated RTP transports, network-level restrictions, or disabling the vulnerable RTP plugins. No official patch status is confirmed yet.
