It arises when a non-privileged user triggers improper GPU system calls causing an integer overflow that maps two GPU virtual addresses to the same physical address. One virtual mapping can be freed along with the physical page, while the second mapping still references the freed physical memory, enabling read/write access to potentially reallocated memory.
