CVE-2026-40075: CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') in openmrs openmrs-coreCVE-2026-40075 0 OpenMRS Core versions 2.7.8 and earlier, and 2.8.0 through 2.8.5, contain a path traversal vulnerability in the /openmrs/moduleResources/{moduleid} endpoint. This endpoint serves static resources for the login page and is unauthenticated. The vulnerability arises because the ModuleResourcesServlet constructs filesystem paths from user input without proper normalization or boundary checks, allowing attackers to read arbitrary files on the server. Exploitation requires the server to run on Apache Tomcat versions prior to 8. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 05/05/2026, 21:25:41 UTC Added: 05/05/2026, 21:51:24 UTC |
