CVE-2026-40517: CWE-78 Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') in radareorg radare2CVE-2026-40517 0 radare2 versions prior to 6. 1. 4 contain an OS command injection vulnerability in the PDB parser's print_gvars() function. This flaw allows attackers to craft malicious PDB files with newline characters in symbol names to inject arbitrary radare2 commands. These commands are executed when a user runs the idp command on the malicious file, leading to arbitrary OS command execution via radare2's shell execution operator. The vulnerability is rated high severity with a CVSS score of 8. 4. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently provided by the vendor.
