Apache ActiveMQ contains a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in its web console API's MessageServlet. The servlet copies JMS message properties into HTTP response headers without validation, allowing potential injection or overwriting of security headers. This affects Apache ActiveMQ versions before 5.19.7 and versions from 6.0.0 before 6.2.6. The vulnerability has a medium severity rating with a CVSS score of 6.1. The MessageServlet has been deprecated and disabled by default in fixed versions. Users are advised to upgrade to Apache ActiveMQ 5.19.7 or 6.2.6 or later to remediate this issue.
