NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_rewrite_module module. This vulnerability exists when a rewrite directive uses a regex pattern with distinct, overlapping Perl-Compatible Regular Expression (PCRE) captures (for example, ^/((.*))$) and a replacement string that references multiple such captures (for example, $1$2) in a redirect or arguments context. An unauthenticated attacker along with conditions beyond their control can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests. This may cause a heap buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/01/2026, 11:47:00 UTC Added: 06/09/2026, 10:23:17 UTC |
When NGINX Open Source is configured to proxy HTTP/2 traffic by setting proxy_http_version to 2, and also uses proxy_set_body, an attacker may be able to inject frame headers and payload bytes to the upstream peer. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 05/15/2026, 08:50:04 UTC Added: 05/13/2026, 15:21:59 UTC |
0 A vulnerability in the NGINX ngx_quic_module affects versions 1.26.0 up to but not including 1.30.1 when configured to use the HTTP/3 QUIC module. This flaw allows an attacker to spoof their source IP address, potentially bypassing authorization or rate limiting controls. The vulnerability is classified with medium severity. A patch is available to address this issue. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 05/15/2026, 08:50:00 UTC Added: 05/26/2026, 20:58:57 UTC |
