A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's networking code related to TCPv4 Generic Segmentation Offload (GSO) frag_off checks was resolved. The issue involved unsafe direct dereferencing of IPv4 header offsets in packets injected from PF_PACKET paths, which could lead to uninitialized memory reads. This was fixed by using skb_header_pointer() to safely access the header data. The vulnerability affects multiple linux-azure kernel versions prior to 6.8.0-1061.64~22.04.1 and similar builds. A patch is available and should be applied via standard system updates. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 05/01/2026, 15:16:00 UTC Added: 07/17/2026, 10:27:10 UTC |
