0 CVE-2026-44899 is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the lepture mistune Python Markdown parser prior to version 3.2.1. The issue arises from improper validation of the :width: and :height: options in the Image directive plugin, where a regex only partially validates numeric input, allowing additional CSS to be injected into style attributes without escaping. This vulnerability allows an attacker to inject arbitrary CSS into rendered HTML. The vulnerability is fixed in version 3.2.1. The CVSS score is 4.7, indicating a medium severity level.
