Red Hat OpenShift Dev Spaces provides a cloud developer workspace server and a browser-based IDE built for teams and organizations. Dev Spaces runs in OpenShift and is well-suited for container-based development. The 3.30 release is based on Eclipse Che 7.121 and uses the DevWorkspace engine to provide support for workspaces based on devfile v2.1 and v2.2. A denial of service vulnerability (CVE-2026-8723) exists in the qs library used in Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs. The flaw occurs when qs.stringify processes arrays containing null or undefined elements with specific configuration, causing a TypeError that crashes the application or returns a 500 error. This leads to denial of service for affected requests. Red Hat has released updated RPM packages including python3.14-3.14.6-1.1.hum1 to address this issue. No mitigation other than applying the update is currently recommended.
