CVE-2026-48962: CWE-95 Improper Neutralization of Directives in Dynamically Evaluated Code ('Eval Injection') in PMQS IO::CompressCVE-2026-48962
0

CVE-2026-48962 is a code injection vulnerability in PMQS IO::Compress for Perl versions before 2. 220. It arises from improper neutralization of directives in dynamically evaluated code, specifically in the File::GlobMapper component. An attacker can supply a crafted output glob string containing a literal double quote that breaks out of the intended quoting and injects arbitrary Perl code. This code executes with the privileges of the calling process, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution.
