CVE-2026-49017: CWE-835 Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') in OpenStack SwiftCVE-2026-49017 0 CVE-2026-49017 is a high-severity vulnerability in OpenStack Swift versions 2. 36. 0 and 2. 37. 0 where the s3api middleware enters an infinite loop when processing a truncated aws-chunked PUT request body. This causes the proxy-server worker handling the request to become unresponsive with increasing CPU and memory usage. An authenticated attacker can exploit this to exhaust all proxy-server workers, leading to denial of service. The issue was introduced in Swift 2. 36. 0 and affects cloud-hosted services.
