CVE-2026-52877: CWE-20: Improper Input Validation in truelockmc streambertCVE-2026-52877 0 Streambert, a cross-platform Electron desktop app for streaming and downloading video content, has an improper input validation vulnerability in its open-external IPC handler prior to version 2.6.0. The handler passes a renderer-supplied URL directly to Electron's shell.openExternal without validating the protocol, allowing potentially malicious URLs such as file: or custom OS-specific schemes to be opened. This could lead to local file access, remote resource access, or execution of scripts and applications via registered handlers. The issue is fixed in version 2.6.0.
