CVE-2026-54692 is a high-severity vulnerability in the HappySeaFox sail library prior to version 1.0.0. It involves an incorrect calculation of buffer size when loading certain XBM image files, leading to a heap buffer overflow. This overflow occurs because the decoded pixel buffer is allocated based on an X11 layout, but the X10 static short file format writes more bytes per literal than allocated space allows. The vulnerability can cause process crashes, corruption, and potentially enable code execution. The issue is fixed in version 1.0.0.
