CVE-2026-55173: CWE-78: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') in WWBN AVideoCVE-2026-55173 0 WWBN AVideo versions 29.0 and below are vulnerable to OS command injection due to incomplete sanitization of special shell characters in the sanitizeFFmpegCommand() function. The vulnerability arises because the single ampersand (&), a shell background operator, was not neutralized, allowing attackers who can craft a valid encrypted payload to execute arbitrary OS commands. This can lead to high impact including full confidentiality, integrity, and availability compromise. A patch addressing this issue has been committed upstream.
