motionEye versions prior to 0.44.0 have a missing authorization vulnerability in the ActionHandler.post() method. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to send requests to the /action/<camera_id>/<action> endpoint, triggering actions such as snapshot capture, recording start/stop, and potentially invoking PTZ controls, alarms, lighting, and other configured scripts.
