CVE-2026-61604 is a critical improper authorization vulnerability in the ixofoundation ixo-blockchain x/bonds module prior to version 8.0.0. The flaw allowed attackers to move funds from victim addresses by exploiting the DID verification method resolution without verifying ownership. This vulnerability was actively exploited on the ixo mainnet on 2026-06-20. The issue was fixed in version 8.0.0, which disables the bonds module until a secure signer-authorization model is implemented.
