0 CVE-2026-61741 is a critical XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability in the http4s-scala-xml library's XML parsers prior to versions 0.24.1 and 1.0.0-M39. The affected versions use a SAXParserFactory without secure configuration, allowing untrusted XML input to trigger XXE attacks. This can lead to local file disclosure, server-side request forgery (SSRF), and denial of service via entity expansion. The issue is fixed in versions 0.24.1 and 1.0.0-M39.
