The overflow occurs during decoding of crafted deep tiled EXR files, leading to a crash due to an invalid memory read. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14. 0 A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the PyOpenEXR component of AcademySoftwareFoundation's openexr library. This occurs due to a channel-name key collision between literal and prefixed RGB channels when separate_channels is false, leading to out-of-bounds writes during pixel decoding. The issue affects versions 3.3.0 through 3.3.12 and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13 and is fixed in versions 3.3.13 and 3.4.14.
