CVE-2026-70374: CWE-78 OS Command Injection in HashBrownCMS hashbrown-cmsCVE-2026-70374
0

HashBrown CMS versions up to and including 1.4.6 contain an OS Command Injection vulnerability in the media upload thumbnail generation routine. The vulnerability arises because the filename extension is not properly sanitized before being passed to a shell command, allowing an authenticated user with media resource scope to execute arbitrary OS commands via a specially crafted filename. This occurs in the Media.generateThumbnail() function when it calls a shell command with an unescaped temporary file path. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available.
