CVE-2026-71319: CWE-94: Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') in nuxt devtoolsCVE-2026-71319 0 A critical code injection vulnerability (CWE-94) exists in Nuxt DevTools prior to version 3.3.1. The issue arises because the bidirectional RPC channel over the Vite HMR WebSocket lacks authentication, allowing any client able to reach the HMR endpoint to invoke RPC methods without token or origin checks. Specifically, the updateOptions(), clearOptions(), and openInEditor() methods do not enforce authentication checks. An attacker can exploit this by setting a malicious command via updateOptions() and then triggering openInEditor() to execute arbitrary code on the developer's machine. This vulnerability is fixed in Nuxt DevTools version 3.3.1. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 08/05/2026, 21:26:59 UTC Added: 08/05/2026, 21:41:58 UTC |
