Versions prior to 2.1.14 and 3.0.1 do not properly escape parentheses when using the escape or escapeAll APIs on Windows with cmd.exe as the shell. This flaw allows an attacker to inject arbitrary shell commands by breaking out of parenthesized CMD constructs. The issue is fixed in versions 2.1.14 and 3.0.1.
