CVE-2026-76235 is a memory leak vulnerability in the cockpit-ws component of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. The flaw causes the login page handler to leak heap memory on every unauthenticated request containing a CockpitLang cookie. This can allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to exhaust system memory and cause a denial of service. The affected component is stateless and automatically restarted by systemd upon failure, limiting the impact on confidentiality and integrity. Red Hat rates the impact as Moderate and recommends restricting network access to the cockpit port until a fix is available.
