CVE-2026-77459 is a critical authorization vulnerability in Argo CD, a GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. Versions from 2.10.0 up to certain fixed releases allow creation of PostDelete resource hooks without enforcing AppProject destination and resource authorization checks. This omission permits a user with write access to an Application's Git repository to commit a delete hook targeting forbidden namespaces or cluster-scoped resources. When the Application is deleted, the controller creates these resources with cluster credentials, potentially leading to unauthorized cluster-wide resource manipulation. The issue is fixed in versions 3.3.15, 3.4.10, 3.5.4, and 3.6.0-rc2. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 10/13/2026, 16:26:47 UTC Added: 10/13/2026, 16:49:19 UTC |
