A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in NLnet Labs Unbound DNSSEC validator up to and including version 1.26.0. Exploitation can lead to denial of service or potentially remote code execution by an attacker controlling a malicious DNS zone and querying the vulnerable Unbound instance.
