CVE-2026-87683 is a high-severity stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the REST API management component of Brocade Fabric OS versions prior to 10.0.1. It occurs due to improper validation of array counts and string lengths in API request payloads, allowing an authenticated attacker with REST API access to send crafted oversized parameters. Exploitation can lead to denial-of-service via daemon crashes or potentially arbitrary code execution within the management process.
