CVE-2026-89425 is a high-severity vulnerability in FasterXML jackson-core affecting versions from 2.8.0 through 3.2.2 in various sub-ranges. The issue occurs in UTF8DataInputJsonParser._reportInvalidToken(), which builds error messages by appending characters to a StringBuilder without an upper bound, leading to excessive memory consumption. This can cause OutOfMemoryError in the JVM when processing large malformed tokens via the DataInput parsing path. The vulnerability does not affect releases before 2.8.0 and is not mitigated by existing StreamReadConstraints settings. No official patch information is provided in the input data.
