CVE-2026-8994: CWE-287 Improper Authentication in learnnearclub Login with NEARCVE-2026-8994 0 The Login with NEAR WordPress plugin up to version 0. 3. 3 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability. The vulnerable ajaxLoginWithNear() function allows unauthenticated users to log in as any WordPress user whose email matches the pattern <account>@near. org by supplying a crafted account parameter. This occurs because the function only checks for the substring '. near' without verifying ownership of the NEAR wallet or using cryptographic validation. Additionally, if no matching user exists, the plugin creates and authenticates a new account for the attacker. This vulnerability can lead to unauthorized access and privilege escalation, including administrator accounts.
