CVE-2026-48860: CWE-1025 Comparison Using Wrong Factors in Erlang OTPCVE-2026-48860 0 CVE-2026-48860 is a vulnerability in Erlang/OTP's ssl module (inet_tls_dist) where the function enforcing a LAN allowlist for distribution over TLS incorrectly uses the local socket address instead of the peer's address for IP verification. This causes the subnet mask check to always succeed, allowing any holder of a CA-signed TLS certificate to bypass LAN restrictions and gain full Erlang distribution access to the node. The issue affects OTP versions from 26.0 before 29.0.2, 28.5.0.2, and 27.3.4.13, corresponding to ssl versions from 11.0 before 11.7.2, 11.6.0.2, and 11.2.12.9. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 score of 7.5, indicating high severity. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 06/10/2026, 14:35:49 UTC Added: 06/10/2026, 16:03:35 UTC |
