GHSA-22g5-r2x5-97cxCVE-2026-59710 0 The showdown library contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the parseHeaders function within src/subParsers/makehtml/tables.js. This flaw arises because table header ID attributes are not properly escaped, allowing attackers to inject arbitrary HTML and script-executing SVG elements via double-quote characters in markdown table headers. When untrusted markdown is rendered using the default GitHub flavor configuration, this results in stored XSS.
