A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ionic driver causes a resource leak when register_netdev() fails. Specifically, the netdev notifier is not unregistered properly, leading to a leak. This issue has been fixed by ensuring ionic_lif_unregister() is called on failure, which also unregisters the PHC if registered.
