GHSA-322x-v876-g883: @asymmetric-effort/nogginlessdom's Path Traversal in matchFileSnapshot allows arbitrary file write 0 The @asymmetric-effort/nogginlessdom package versions prior to 0.0.22 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the matchFileSnapshot function. This function accepts a filePath parameter without validation, allowing an attacker controlling test input to write arbitrary files anywhere the process has write access when snapshot update mode is enabled. The vulnerability enables creation of intermediate directories and arbitrary file writes, potentially overwriting critical files such as CI pipeline configurations. A fix has been implemented to restrict file writes to within the project root directory. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/02/2026, 20:19:20 UTC Added: 07/02/2026, 22:56:51 UTC |
