@angular/common: Denial of Service (DoS) via OOM in Date Formatting (formatDate) (CVE-2026-54268)CVE-2026-54268 0 A Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability exists in the @angular/common package's formatDate function, which is also used by Angular's DatePipe. The vulnerability arises because the function does not limit or validate the length of the date format string parameter. An attacker can supply an excessively long or crafted format string that causes excessive CPU and memory consumption, leading to application crashes or unresponsive browser tabs. This affects both Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Client-Side Rendering (CSR) Angular applications if the format string is attacker-controlled. Patched versions include 20.3.25, 21.2.17, and 22.0.1.
