In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: bound NTFS_DE view.data_off in UpdateRecordData{Root,Allocation} In… (CVE-2026-64532)CVE-2026-64532 0 A high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NTFS3 filesystem driver was resolved. The issue involves insufficient bounds checking on the view.data_off field in UpdateRecordDataRoot and UpdateRecordDataAllocation functions, leading to out-of-bounds memory writes. This flaw could allow an attacker with local access and user interaction to cause memory corruption with potential confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. The vulnerability was identified and fixed by adding proper bounds checks to prevent memory overwrite beyond the NTFS directory entry size.
